How do you book a private yacht in Istanbul for New Year's Eve?
Message Luma Yacht on WhatsApp with your guest count, the hours you would like on the water and any dinner, drinks or music you want. We reply with the yachts still free that night, the boarding point and time, and the price in writing. 31 December is not sold in the online calendar, and nothing is charged until you accept the quote. The price is by written quote, because it depends on the yacht, the hours and the extras. The whole yacht belongs to your group. Fireworks are the city's decision, so no quote includes them. Published whole-boat totals run from €220 for 2 hours up to €1800 for 8 hours on the largest fixed-price yacht.
The water you cover
Karaköy out along the European shore and back — Dolmabahçe, Çırağan, Ortaköy and, if time allows, Arnavutköy, Bebek, Rumeli Fortress. On a private charter the turn-around is yours: go further, linger somewhere, or stop for a swim in summer.

- What the price covers
- The whole yacht for your group, not a price per person. Crew and fuel are in the quote.
- Paying
- No online payment and no deposit to enquire. Pay in cash on board. If you would prefer another method, such as bank transfer or SWIFT, message us.
- Children
- Children are welcome. The price is for the whole yacht, so children do not add to it — but every child and baby counts towards the yacht's guest number.
- Changing your mind
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

Finding the pier
Karaköy is a working pier in the middle of the city, not a terminal — so the last two minutes are the part worth reading.
- By car
- Karaköy Meydanı is as close as a car gets. The final stretch to the water is pedestrian, so allow a minute on foot.
- From the Asian side
- The Kadıköy ferry lands at Karaköy, a short walk from where we board — and it is the better arrival of the two.
- Tram or Marmaray
- The T1 stops at Karaköy. From Sirkeci it is roughly twelve minutes on foot over Galata Bridge.
- With luggage
- There is nowhere to leave bags at the pier, so come from your hotel rather than straight from the airport.
Yours is the only party boarding, so there is no queue and no head count at the gate. Message us when you are close.
How a 31 December request works
Write to us on WhatsApp with the number of guests, the hours you have in mind and whether you want dinner, drinks or music on board. We answer with the yachts that are free, the boarding point and time, and the price for your hours and extras. If you accept, we confirm the yacht in writing. If you do not, you owe nothing.
Where the yacht boards and what you can add
Boarding that night is usually at Kabataş or Karaköy, and the exact pier is written into your quote. For drinks you choose a package: unlimited local drinks, unlimited drinks including imported brands, or soft drinks only. Dinner, music and décor are arranged by the crew on request and quoted separately, the same way as for any other celebration on a private yacht.

Tell us the size of your group and we match the yacht. For a group of up to 15, start with the 15-guest private yacht. A company party to close the year is planned like our corporate yacht events. Prices for other dates are on the fleet page; they do not apply to 31 December.
Three kinds of New Year's Eve we plan on a private yacht
The whole yacht is yours, so the night takes the shape of your group. Say which of these you have in mind and we build the quote around it.
- A company year-end dinner. Give us the head count, whether it is a seated dinner or a standing reception, and any speech or presentation you need audio for. The format follows our corporate yacht events.
- A midnight proposal. Tell us the timing you want and what you would like prepared, such as flowers or music, and we quote it with the rest. See proposals on a private yacht.
- Family or friends. Say how many are coming and whether any are children, so we offer a yacht that suits the whole group.

Private yacht or a shared New Year's Eve cruise?
A shared cruise sells seats on a boat with other parties and a set programme. On a private yacht the whole boat is your group's: you decide who is on board, what is served and how the evening runs, and you pay one written quote instead of a fare per seat. The trade-off is that we do not run a ready-made show, and fireworks are the city's decision, so we never promise them. If a set programme is what you want, a shared cruise suits you better.
Getting to the pier and home afterwards
Your quote names the pier, usually Kabataş or Karaköy. If you want a different pier, tell us first, as the time and price can change. Hotel pickup and drop-off are available on request and are not part of the base charter, so ask for them in your first message if you want them. On 31 December roads near the water are busy, so agree with us how your group travels before the night.

- Can I book a yacht online for 31 December?
- No. The online calendar does not take bookings for 31 December. Message us on WhatsApp and we send a written quote. Nothing is charged online for that night.
- How much is a New Year's Eve yacht in Istanbul?
- Price by written quote. It depends on the yacht, the hours and any dinner, drinks, music or décor you add, and you see it in full before you accept.
- Where does the yacht board on 31 December?
- Boarding that night is usually at Kabataş or Karaköy. The exact pier is written into your quote.
- What drinks can we choose?

- You choose the start. Start times are whole hours, from 09:00 to 24:00. We confirm the hours for 31 December in your quote.

- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. If you do not accept the quote for 31 December, you owe nothing.
- Can we hold a company dinner on a private yacht on 31 December?
- Yes, as a quote request. Send the head count, the format (seated or standing) and any audio you need, and we reply with the yacht, boarding point and written price.
- Can we arrange a proposal on New Year's Eve?
- Yes. Tell us the timing you want and what you would like prepared, such as flowers or music. These are quoted with the charter and agreed in writing before you accept.
- What is included in the charter and what costs extra?
- On ordinary dates the charter includes a licensed captain and crew, fuel and standard route fees, soft drinks, tea and water, cookies and nuts, a Bluetooth audio system and life jackets.
