Private yacht on a full-day Bosphorus charter, Istanbul

Full-Day Private Yacht Charter in Istanbul

Give the Bosphorus a whole day. A full-day private charter is the unhurried version — the boat to yourselves from morning, time for a swim stop, a long lunch on deck and the run up the strait toward the Black Sea. Charters start from €220 and scale with the yacht and your hours; fixed-price yachts show their exact 6–8 hour totals in the online planner.

How much is a full-day yacht charter in Istanbul?

A full-day private yacht charter in Istanbul starts from €220+with Luma Yacht and is priced individually, because a full day covers far more water and fuel than a short sunset cruise. You hire the whole boat — captain and crew included — typically for six to eight hours, with the route built around you: up the Bosphorus past the palaces and fortresses toward the Black Sea mouth, or a longer crossing toward the Princes' Islands. There is room in a full day for a swim stop in a quiet bay, a leisurely lunch on deck and an easy return at golden hour. The final price depends on the yacht size for your group, the exact hours and the season. Catering, drinks and music are arranged on request and quoted separately. Reserve a fixed-price yacht online, or request a quote for an event yacht. Luma is TÜRSAB-licensed (A Group #14316), sailing since 2001.

Half day vs full day — which should you book?

A half-day charter (around three to four hours) is perfect for a focused outing — a sunset sail, a proposal, a birthday afternoon. A full day (roughly six to eight hours) gives you the unhurried version: swim stops, a proper lunch, a longer route and no clock-watching. If your group wants to make a real occasion of it, or you are travelling with family who'll want to swim and relax, the full day earns its place. For the shorter option, see our private yacht charter.

Swim stops in a quiet bay on a full-day charter

What a full day on the Bosphorus looks like

Board mid-morning from a central Istanbul pier and cruise up the strait between two continents, past the Ottoman palaces, the waterfront mansions and the fortresses, under both suspension bridges. We can drop anchor in a calm bay for a swim and serve lunch on deck, then continue toward the Black Sea mouth before turning back so you finish as the light softens. The day is yours to shape — there is no fixed tour script, only the route and pace you want.

What is included, and what can be added

Every full-day charter is whole-boat and crewed: a licensed captain, onboard crew, fuel and your private route are all part of the quote. Extras are arranged on request and priced transparently before you confirm — catering and a long lunch, drinks and champagne, a DJ or playlist, a cake for a birthday, swim gear, or a photographer to capture the day. Tell us how you want to spend the hours and we build the day around it.

Who a full-day charter suits

Full days work beautifully for families, groups of friends, milestone celebrations and corporate days where the journey is the event. With more time on the water you can include a swim, a relaxed meal and a wider route than a short cruise allows. We match the yacht to your headcount and the kind of day you have in mind.

How to book a full-day charter

Choose a fixed-price yacht, 6–8 hour duration, date and group size in the online planner; it shows one whole-yacht total and creates secure voucher and invoice links. Swim stops, lunch, unusual routes and the 90- or 150-guest event yachts remain separately confirmed requests rather than hidden additions.

Full-day charter FAQ

How much is a full-day yacht charter in Istanbul?
The smallest Luma yacht is €693 for 7 hours and €792 for 8 hours. Other fixed-price yachts show their exact 6–8 hour whole-yacht totals in the planner; the 90- and 150-guest event yachts remain quote-only.
How long is a full-day charter?
A full day is usually six to eight hours, though we can tailor the window to your plans. That is enough time for a swim stop in a quiet bay, lunch on deck, a longer route up the Bosphorus and an unhurried return — far more relaxed than a two- or three-hour cruise.
Can we swim and have lunch on board?
Yes. On a full day we can anchor in a calm bay for a swim and serve lunch on deck. Catering, drinks and swim time are arranged on request and quoted with your charter, so the day is built exactly around how you want to spend it.
Where does a full-day charter go?
Most full days run up the Bosphorus past the palaces, mansions and fortresses toward the Black Sea mouth, with a swim stop along the way. A longer crossing toward the Princes' Islands is also possible. We confirm the route with you when you book and adjust it on the day to the weather and your wishes.
How do I book a full day?
Choose a fixed-price yacht, 6–8 hour duration, date and guest count in the online planner. The reservation returns secure voucher and invoice links. Use the quote path for event yachts or bespoke routes and catering.
Is a full-day yacht charter on the Bosphorus safe?
Yes. Luma operates through a TÜRSAB A Group licensed travel agency (#14316), sailing the Bosphorus since 2001 with 50,000+ guests hosted. Every private full-day charter runs with a professional licensed captain and onboard crew. Charters operate subject to weather and sea conditions, and the captain's judgement on safety, route and timing is always final — if conditions make sailing unsafe we reschedule or arrange a fair resolution. Guests simply follow the crew's safety instructions on board.
What happens if the weather is bad, or I need to cancel or reschedule?
Charters run subject to the weather, sea conditions and your captain's judgement, which is final on safety, route and timing. If conditions make it unsafe to sail, we work with you on a fair resolution — first we try to reschedule to a date that suits you, and where rescheduling isn't possible we discuss a refund of sums paid for a charter Luma has to cancel. If you need to change or cancel yourself, tell us as early as possible and we'll do our best to help; the exact notice periods and any non-refundable deposit are set out in the written quote you accept. Message us on WhatsApp at +90 544 898 98 12 to sort out any change.
